Another week

This week was different. I had my first zone conference, we waxed the car and everything. The day before we had the Sister leaders come and I was evaluated. I was strange mostly because I had to go home an hour early so that we could do the evaluation, it was not what I thought it would be like. It is hard to imagine what the missionary field would be like without this new preach my gospel program.

Zone conference was amazing, the night before I had a dream or in other words I had a vision where I was asked to give a talk, the talk that i have not actually written yet. Believe it or not, when I woke up I didn't write the talk until after I had taken a shower. I was still writing it when our cars were being checked. I also got my letters, one from Sister Abbott and one from Sister Hartshorn. I was a little sad because I had been thinking that I might be getting letters from Nick and Amber and Alan and Kim and the package from Mom and Dad, but I decided that I could always be sad later.

As the Pres. was talking he mentioned that we get dreams that will tell us what we will be doing the next day, he also mentioned the law of Moses. I had looked up a scripture that mentioned the law of Moses for my talk. With all these things combined I was not surprised that I was called upon to give the first talk of the day. I mentioned that I wanted to add my testimony to what the President said and I told everyone about my dream and I pulled out my scripture and then, suddenly, President Berry took my notes away. . . I don't remember what else I said except that we needed to be a search light to find other peoples needed so that we can serve them because we have been called to Serve!

At the end of the day when we were going home to I was still a little sad in the back of my mind about the package and worrying about it being lost. That was when we checked the mail and there was a pink slip inside. I ran to the door of the office, then I turned and waited from my companion to catch up. The package was there and it was unreal. I was so happy, then I came home and opened it up and I don't think you will ever know mom how wonderful it was to see those notes and the nuts. Ever time we had gone to the store I had looked at the price of the pecan nuts. And we cannot open letters except on Monday, but because it was a package I could open it and read the notes I was in tears when I read what you said about little miracles, that package was one of those. I've been waiting for Zone Conference so I could get my mail from the office, but it came from the office, from my district leader and from my mail box, it was the first piece of mail that wasn't from the office.

Thank you for everything, I also got my Christmas card from Nick and Amber. I love it!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Martin Luther King Day!
