Kim's Special day

I keep forgetting to take pictures of the cakes! On Kim's baptism cake I had a <3 KIM! and then little wave looking things under her name.

I am so happy that I was able to see Kim's baptism! Sad thing is that Sister D couldn't be there, but I decided to have a picture with her in the email so she didn't have to feel too left out.

It was such a happy day!

Well now that that is over. . . :D Na, I'll always have reasons to smile.

I went on my first trade off down in St. Marys. All people talked about it how Oprah came and filmed a bunch down there and how they are filming Royal Pains and things, it was interesting, but fun at the same time. There is a lot of traveling to do with Sister C being a Sister leader. I was comps with sister Knickerbocker.

Wow, I guess I don't really have much to say, but I will share one more story.

It all began last night . . . (Flash back) We have been trying to get a hold of a potential for weeks and we have never caught her at a good time, but last night we were in the apartment complex next door and my feet just started walking, I didn't know where I was going until I was almost there. We had woken her up, but she was willing to talk with us and we talked for a long time. She said she would watch conference with a list of specific questions in mind. It was a good lesson and at the end she said that we brought her some much needed positive energy! It was a great ending to a great day.

I love ya'll! Keep sending your love! And pray for missionary opportunities, missionaries need all the help we can get.

A new companion!

Sister D is now down in FL Middleburg. So far south that she is thinking that she will not be able to make it back up for Kim's baptism . . . :(

My new companion is someone who I have done trade offs with before because she was the comp of a sister leader. Her name--drum roll please-- Sister Crowton from Lehi! She was a first grade teacher before she came out and she is a very good teacher. In Preach My Gospel it mentions that the more simple you can teach restored truth the better and Sister C is a pro.

I remember saying two things to her when we were on trade offs months ago, 1) we would be really good companions 2) I would like to be the companion of a sister leader, so I thought it was strange when I heard that Sister C has been called to be a sister leader! I was super surprised! In case you don't know. Sister leaders are the ones who do trade offs with other sisters because the district leaders can't. That means a lot of traveling and a lot of miles used. That is the only stressful part . . . not! We won't be in our area a total of 8 days this next month . . . but what can you do? I hope we can still do tonz of missionary work and that is were the happiness comes from. We will get to meet so many people and see different parts of the mission!

(Oh, and Sister C is really into cleaning so I just step back sometimes and let her go for it.) :D

Kim is set to be baptized this Sunday and I'm so excited~!

Well, no pictures this week, my camera is in the car, but I will surely have some for next week!

I love ya'll and I pray for all of you. <3

Side not--Mom I've noticed that you have the best pictures to share. You are so happy. I love it! (and thanks for calling me number one.) :)

Happy Day!

Okay, so I really don't have too much to say about this last week except . . . BAPTISM!

Charles was baptized this last Saturday and confirmed on Sunday. The interesting thing was we the missionaries were the only ones setting things up. The Bishop and councilors were out of town same with our ward mission leader. I ended up playing the piano, Sister D conducted and gave a talk on the Holy Ghost and the High Priest leader was the one presiding and conducting. The Brother who baptized Charles also welcomed in the ward. (Just goes to show, spring break is not a good time to hold a baptism, but the Lord will make it work anyway.)

I made him a cake that said, Charles #1, then I did a picture of the Engels emblem from the NFL because we did the Plan of Salvation lesson as if it were a football game and told him that he would have to be baptized before he could truly be on the team so he said that his number would be 1. :D It was fun! I'm so excited to see how much more he grows.

We got transfer calls, I'm staying in GA and Sister D is being transferred, it will be interesting to have a new companion. I'm excited!

I love you! SOOO Much! I'm so happy know that I have so many people thinking of me and I want you all to know I'm praying for you! Bless you!!

1) The picture is from left to right: Me, Charles Grandma, Charles, Cody (YM president), Gina (Cody's wife), and Sister D
2) This is a free speech table we did on campus, it was so good to see how the Elders worked and I think I have learned a lot. There were many people who would talk with us. (We couldn't leave the square piece of grass so they had to come to us.)

transfers are coming next week, they will be calling on Saturday. My companion is freaking out because she is thinking, "I've been here for six months." and we will be done with the training program. I'm not worried though, I'm getting the hang of things out in the field, but there is still plenty to learn, I am a little excited to start memorizing scriptures.(I couldn't do that while I was in the training program.)

Mondays are hard, there is so much that we have to get done, but we are starting to get things done faster!

This week we have been working with a young man named Charles. His grandma is a member and he has been coming to church. If everything works out he will be baptized on Saturday. :D

Because we were low on miles and freaking out the past couple weeks we have been biking, walking and hardly moving our car, at least that is how it was until Thursday. Now we are back to doing whatever we want. So strange, but we did have two miles left before the month was over so WE MADE IT!

I've got no pictures this week, but I love the pizza dad made, I makes me hungry!

I love you all and I'm so happy that I can get grandma's emails so I'm getting all the juicy news! :D
